A Light in a Storm

As Bob Welch writes in the Eugene Register Guard...

“Sometimes a little adventure can be fun if one just looks ahead and
stays positive,” says Mary Emma Parks, a retiree in Yachats whose house
became a sort of gathering spot for neighbors without electricity. “We
had a Coleman lantern and a wood stove and saw other houses that were
dark and thought: That’s a scary thing.”For much of two days,
she and husband Ken became like the “Storm Home” of which Garrison
Keillor sometimes speaks. Folks gathered at the Parks’ place for board
games, snacks and wine."

So let the wind blow and let the lights fail. I got my Coleman 200 and a nail to hang it on.
